Quickfort designs
« on: October 05, 2010, 09:08:40 pm »

I've been experimenting with different fortress designs, and I've settled on a gallery type design. Just stack them on top of each other and you'll have a working fortress in no time. I also have a convenient center design that outlines an embark square and bisects it into four equal squares. Any comments for design improvement, or have any of your own designs you want to share?

Center: This is the one that outlines and bisects an embark square.

Frame Gallery: This is the frame each gallery was built from. It is one quarter the size of an embark square, and only includes the hallways and stairways.

Open Gallery: This gallery has no inside walls. Useful for farming, stockpiles, dining rooms, statue gardens, and other large activity centers.

Workshop Gallery: This gallery has a capacity of 16 3x3 workshops. It features room for exclusive stockpiles, and easy lockdown via double doors.

Bedroom Gallery: This gallery has a capacity of 36 2x2 bedrooms. This design needs some work, but I'm stuck on ideas.
