Wow its been awhile since I've been online.  Anyway, the computer I had this on died, so the fort is lost.  I haven't been playing df in forever, but I just downloaded .16 and generated a new world. 

There is an island with an underwater volcano in a frozen ocean and the underground caverns breaching the surface.  You can literally see 100 z-levels into the caverns at embark.

I think I may start a new comm fort with it.  If my computer can handle the cavern collapses when the ocean thaws.
