Is there a way to do this? I'm trying to train up a badass war tigerman army and they ignore captured prisoners that get pitted while on restraints.

Edit: figure i'll go ahead and mention that tigermen have [LIKES_FIGHTING] by default, i think the only thing that would do is make an creature get a happy thought from killing an opponent, the dwarf equivalent of "Took joy in slaughter recently"

While adding magma to anything will make it dwarfy, adding the word "magma" to your post does not necessarily make it funny.

Actually, from my own modding experience, I've noticed that if your fortress race has [LIKES_FIGHTING], they'll also become more aggressive. Dwarves don't have the tag, so as civilians they universally flee from enemies unless cornered. However, my modded [LIKES_FIGHTING] race tended to swarm enemies that came too near, like bees suffocating a wasp that invades their hive.

As for the question, can the tigerman reach the goblin? When the two are in contact, does the goblin act aggressively? Does it attempt to run away or path randomly around the pit? Have you checked the combat log?
