Link floodgate to lever does not show distance to mechs,

When linking something to a lever, it will ask you to select mechanisms. However, it is not sorted by distance and it does not show you the distance to the pieces you are choosing.

I just had a stockpile set up near my soon-to-be-linked floodgates and levers, but instead of using the un-reserved mechanisms in the pile, my mechanic ran off to the main stockpile 150 tiles away to grab the mechanisms that were at the very top of the list of mechanisms for the "link to lever" action.
