I just break 'em to pieces  8) With my bare hands
And then toss the individual pieces into magma.

I don't know what kind of strength you need for that (or whether you're completely full of it,) but my highest strength adventurer couldn't do that with 4500 strength. You need 2500 strength for most bronze weapons to even work.

My current has maxxed out at 2200 strength, and I have to break him up with a warhammer or whip before any other weapons will start doing damage. A warhammer still requires strength, but a whip will work even if you have the strength of a hoary marmot.

You need an obscene amount of strength, unobtainable naturally. In an unmodded game, I usually take 'em apart with an axe, seems to work ok.

Has anyone ever tried taking a metal disc (or whatever it was) from a trap in a used fortress and throwing it?

On a related note, I'm eagerly awaiting the update allowing you to pull up some surface boulders and really put that strength and throwing skill to use.

These guys get stronger as you fight them. With Runescape I watched a few of them start with 250-600 in attributes and max out around 1k-3k.

They don't have skills, but their attributes kept raising. I still don't completely understand the mechanic, but check it out for yourself.

Try giving 'em [CAN_LEARN], after a thousand years the fuckers are completely unbeatable.

Learning without needing a brain or the ability to feel pain isn't really fair.
What skills would they even learn anyway? Probably just Fighter, Striker, Kicker, and Wrestler but it would be pretty funny if you got one with the alchemist skill.

It should learn RAW editing to do so. There's no such skill in the game, so we're safe.

renaming all the non-metal/stone body parts: SQUISHIES_BODY, SQUISHIES_LEGS, etc.

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.
