Succession Fo...ADVENTURER! The Adventures of Thomod GodlyFaces
« on: November 19, 2010, 04:31:41 am »

Well yes...Im having an idea here that will ensue lots of FUNTM.

This will work like a succession game, but only with an adventurer and his loyal group of followers. What im worried about most here, however, is that adventurers are soft, squishy organisms with a love of wolves. This will be using the current 31.18 version of DF, with all of its bogeyman goodness to follow. People will have 2 weeks in-game days to do as much as they want in this adventure. All the standard stuff will ensue, World gen, Randomized character name etc. If the player recruitment becomes stagnant, then you may ask to replay the adventurer for another 3 days.

DF style rules.
1. PLEASE DONT KILL THE ADVENTURER ON PURPOSE! Thank you.
2. Please, Please PLEASE use images.
3. Have FUNTM normal fun.
4. Kill the elves! Well, not really, if you dont want to...
5. Like succession games, try to make a story about it. Same kind of style as other succession games, basically.

Player list.
1. MrNuke (Current)
2. EvilTwin
3. Canaburst
4. Yoink
5.
(More numbers for more people)

Will add  World Gen and Character creation once people join! However...we will be starting from the bottom, as peasant. Inform me 3 things when you post/join . A) Favoured Skills etc B) Favoured Attributes C) If you would like to play or be a recruited person that joins us on our adventures

Forgotten Beasts seem to be akin to Toady playing Russian Roulette with your fortress, as they can be anything from harmless giant worms made of mud to necrotic-gas spewing nigh-invunerable iron hydras of doom.

I could put you on the list for the first adventurer we recruit...

Different people assuming control over one fortress could be viewed as changing rulers, hence bloodline.
With adventurer it looks weird.
How about one adventurer per player, till death, in the same world?
For the sake of fun, every player sets a goal for the next one to complete (or die trying).

I will gladly join in on this. However I think an in game week would suit adventure mode better.

In the ages, there were only four main races,Humans, Elves, Dwarves and goblins. Even though they dominated the world, no one ever seemed to get along. War...death...slavery. This has been going on for 250 years. So, its hard to think that one man...one man can change anything...in this world they call the infinate planets. This human comes from his little town, which is located inside of Gil Lecit.

The reason people find it so hard to believe that this man can change the world...is the fact he is a lowly peasant. Not a brave warrior, or fighter, but a farmer, plowing the fields for his country. One day however, He wanted to change the world.A tough little guy, but e was only trained a little in the art of sword, and he could barely throw anything to save his life. But today, he was going to prove the world wrong. For he was Thomod GodlyFaces, ready to fight for anyone who need help with there problems.

Can I join?! Although, what happens when this guy inevitably dies? :p He could get mauled by wolves or trounced by an ambush on his first day...
