Adamantine Hammers are for the captain of the guard and Hammerer, if any. Or for training. Put a Crundle in a pit with your adamantine hammerdwarf, wait for a while, and then get him a real hammer.
Ok, I've seen this twice now... wth is a "Crundle"?

Cavern critter. Fairly common, appear in large-ish groups, indistinguishable from kittens.

Teeny little underground fluffball that travels in packs. They're harmless to dwarves due to being so small, but annoying due to the cancel spam a group will generate.

The wiki is down right now so I can't check their description, but I always pictured crundles as little demons that look something like Diablo (i.e. the eponymous video game big bad), but about a foot and a half tall.

Greiger's is actually correct...  sadly enough.  The emotional circumstance processor is still turned on, with a randomly rolled up personality, but they can't express themselves or take control...  they can only cry.

i can't believe the nerve of people in this thread complaining about artifact steel battleaxes and silver maces...

Orthoclase is magma safe. I would use it as bait in a kobold incinerator.
