Key Bindings problem

So I'm using the 2010 tutorial version of dwarf fortress that Captn Duck supplied, and I'm having a problem with the key bindings. So, if I'm trying to change a bedroom's size, I'm used to using alt+arrow keys to change it, but It's not like that here. Could anyone tell me what to change in the key bindings menu?
