So out of the three goblin civilizations in the world, only one contains any actual goblins. The rest are slain. In one instance, a number of goblins remained in their fortress after surrendering and are now considered part of my own civ.

However, I've noted that the remaining goblin civ has DOUBLED in population during the time I've been warring. Is it possible that the fleeing cretins of The Ageless Ticks and The Ticks of Tunneling made it to The Barbarity of Tribes and have joined with them? Is that a possible event?

Not that i'm complaining, they are all in one spot now.

I think that is definitely possible.

I mean I've had numerous bards join my fort of Lanceheld and just now some are petitioning for citizenship. Don't see why the same can't be true of goblin civilizations.

Cool, that makes sense. One other thing that's interesting is that they started claiming each other's razed sites. Some outcast or another will show up and claim it by themselves in the name of so-and-so civilization. Oftentimes it's a human or elf with a goblin surname.

It would be interesting to do this with civilizations that have pantheons, and see how their religions intermingle in the generations that follow.

I am at war with some humans because in my frothing need to destroy all of goblinkind i attacked a technically-human village that was populated with nothing but goblins. Maybe I'll get some data on that.

I wonder if deities are passed down from parent to child rather than by civ?

Children inherit the gods of their mother, and randomly adds one god from the civ's pantheon (I think this information is from 0.40.24, but I've seen no indication of any changes). Since there's no culling of the set, it makes multi generational fortresses a pain from a religious needs satisfaction point of view.
