no nobles come

this is like my 5th fortress and every time no nobles ever come nor do i get a choice for an arsenal dwarf, now i do have it set so my dwarces dont sleep eat or drink would that affect it. please help

Nobles are bugged right now. Many people (myself included) haven't been given the chance to appoint a baron, and almost nobody has seen a dungeon master or other immigrant noble. I personally consider this a blessing, since it saves me the trouble of catering to and/or executing nobles.

I've been offered a barony a number of times, and a county twice, but I've never gotten any of the other types of nobles either.

Bugs, bugs, bugs.  http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/mantisbt/view.php?id=519 describes how to get a Baron(ess) appointed, if that's what you want.  The Dungeon Master, Tax Collector, and so on never show up at all, as far as anyone knows.

I'm a little sad at the exclusion of the Dungeon Master (Fritzl?), but for everything else... good riddance.
