I think it it is clear to anyone who is serious about not spoiling themselves to not read fan pages or articles devoted to their anime/games/movies/whatever on the internet.

Not everyone is 100% careful and spoilers are inevitable if you delve into reading pages and pages of fans writing about it.

I know I've done the mistake and paid the price time and again.

To be honest, I call adamantine cotton candy, the blue stuff, or something of the sort because I can't spell adamantine for the life of me. Seriously, I copy pastaed that from someone's post. From there, I just do the rest anyway.
