Hmm, oh, and I forgot to ask how high MAT_FIXED_TEMP can go?

The scale is [0 .. infinity ), so you decide :).

P.S. I just thought that it may look weird for you. Well, there're specific formulas:

Wiki is your friend :).

So, a potentially very high temp could cause very severe burns? Wish I also knew a way to make it 'linger' longer.

Can someone show me a good example of deliciously searing hot and really really really cold?

The 40d temperature page may still be somewhat accurate.

Besides, if you want to know which temperatures it is that things take damage, just look at the material raws.

I am trying to make a material breath attack that actually /hurts/; Either by burning or freezing, yet I cannot seem to find the right number. I will try absolute zero, but I am beginning to suspect that I am either screwing up somewhere or that it just doesn't care what the MAT_FIXED_TEMP is.

Check Genesis, there're various critters like frost wyrms which use temperature as their weapon.

Yeah, I've made it work finally. Turns out the Arena only doesn't care what you set your temperature to be. When testing it in the game I had some epic results.

But, sorry guys; I am gonna drop this project. I can't do it; Dwarf Fortress can't do it either.

I will however, /maybe/, post up some raws with innovative features if I can get them to work, for all your modding pleasures.

Including but not limited to:
Explosions
Vehicles
More explosions
Perhaps I can get Missile Spam to work, I doubt it though

Talk to you later

I could use some exploding high-speed birds that come in groups of 20-30... heh.

It won't work like that sadly.
I will basically be using materials that do not exist in the open; like blood. Or created through knapping. You'd basically have one turn to fire them or throw them. Or for example, if fuel leaks it will catch fire/explode.

Yeah, that's how I use "magic" in Genesis mod. You have to make it and throw it away ASAP or you will buuurn.

How will it work if it's venom injection attack of freezing/boiling stuff?
