Funnily enough, since I live in Hull, I think I count as the majority of black metal listeners on my own.

I as well played football and I am also a rather nice guy. Yet, I was a pretty good lineman and ended up being a captain on my team. Sometimes I could release anger from the school day before, but I also learned how to make hitting people fun. I know it sounds psycho/misanthropic but after four years of football I enjoyed smashing the hell out of the opposing team, then helping them up so that I could do it again the next play.

You just have to learn to enjoy the controlled violence of football, and when you hit your opponent really hard, again and again, it shows you mean business. That scares/unnerves a lot of people, or at least it has in my experience.

Oh, and heavy metal (or whatever music pumps you) helps too
