Forgotten beast webs?
« on: September 06, 2010, 05:19:56 pm »

Is it possible to harvest webs from a web producing forgotten beast? Do they produce forgotten beast silk then?

If so, I may need to devise a way to set up a forgotten beast web farm...

Web-producing forgotten beasts (and titans and demons) are actually broken - while spiders use [USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:SILK:SILK_TEMPLATE] and [WEBBER:LOCAL_CREATURE_MAT:SILK] (and GCSes use [THICKWEB]), forgotten beasts and company just have [WEBBER]. Since they don't specify a silk material (or even define one, for that matter), their webs don't actually exist (and since they lack [THICKWEB], even if they did exist, they wouldn't do anything). It's been reported here on the bug tracker.

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.
