Dwarven Kareoke - (Carving a Staircase to Heaven)
« on: September 03, 2010, 02:41:39 am »

I didn't really want to start a new thread for this, but there are no poetry, song lyric, or other such creative threads running right now that I can find, and this is not a haiku (or a limerick). So it was either this or necro one of the old Dwarven Drinking song threads. I can definitely imagine dwarves drinking to this, possibly as badly done kareoke in a back room or something.

Inspired by the thread about the 2000+ z-level adamantine spire into the very heavens. It's real embark, but not playable - I gather that a glitch stretched the adamantine so high that it "loops" back "underground" (an infinite amount of times?). So this is all from mine own imaginings the imaginings of a moony dwarf, thinking of the Utopia where dwarves can dig UP. FOREVER. WHOOOOAH!

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.

If it loops around, Heaven won't be the place your stairway goes.
