Crap, I even looked (briefly) at that one, too.

Oh well.

Lithovoric dwarves would be the opposite of an improvement, though. Just look at the Improved Farming thread.
You have to admit, it doesn't get much dorfier than eating rocks for sustenance. Or maybe it's a fun idea for a common underground civ? Either way, the ability to mark a race as being able to eat rocks and/or mine them without tools would be neat. Of course, the AI would make most of them extinct in no time, but hey.. it's cool while it lasts.

Well, I for one wasn't thinking lithovoric dwarves, but other creatures (such as gorons from Zelda). A more flexible DIET tag might be useful that takes materials and item types.

Aha! Now, THAT would work. Especially once livestock start eating (though again, this complicates making farming difficult).

I think something like that is in the Underground Diversity thread, though, so you might take it there.
