Is there a bug in the mac version of DF?  I've been through five worlds now trying to find an embark location with: trees, no aquifer, flux stone, a river, and temperate temperature.  So far, haven't found it.  Can I do something in "design with perameters" to make it easier to actually start playing the game?

UPDATE:  I have found what the actual problem is - on every embark, we start in the spring right?  That's what my game says.  But, the entire map is frozen/snow, even when I've picked a temperate location.  What gives?

You start Early Spring. About halfway through, it should thaw.

Thanks.  Apparently this was my problem; started a new world + embark and am now dwarfing way.  Of course I still don't know what I'm doing
