Trained up two dwarves, then sent them to deal with a goblin ambush.  They dealt with it successfully, so gave them some rest and disbanded their squad.  I wanted to train them up further, so I put the two dwarves back into the squad, but now they won't do a thing.  They won't even go into the barracks to train at all.  Lets name them Dwarf 1 and Dwarf 2.

Dwarf 1 now has the profession of Captain.  Dwarf 2 is nothing special.  When I put Dwarf 2 into squads of other dwarves, he'll train just fine.  Dwarf 1, the Captain, won't do a thing.  What good is he now to me?  How can I use him?

Captain is his noble position; you appointed him captain of the guard, I believe.

Is his squad assigned to a barracks?
