Different colour names of workshops

What does it mean when a workshop's name is red, or brown, or grey or white?

Really? I never really noticed that, or its just been around for a long time. Anyways, I believe it just reflects the color of the building material you used for the workshop.

The color is determined based on the workshop itself, generally based on the profession of the dwarf that will work there. When you define custom workshops in building_custom.txt, you can specify the exact color you want.

It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.
