I think we can plausibly carve out a citadel of ice with chainsaws and teeth. Ice is such a good insulator that even magma won't melt it the least bit.

As I said, while the times might get harsh, with (more than usual) starvations and populations migrating from whole regions, and a serious case of bad weather, it's hardly the end of the world.

Does it have to be the end of the world to be a serious business?

I still think we should buy an island and build a big ass citadel on it. I mean, islands have beaches, and beaches are practically made of sand! Infinite glass to make a huge tower!

I agree. We'll make up for the small space of the island buy building far into the ground and high up into the sky at the same time. All we need at that point is a Dark Energy Reactor and we'll offically be the Dwarven Combine.
