So while playing Fortress mode, I foud a magma tube. But I also found this:

That is NOT a cavern tree, obviously. Is this a bug of some sort? Or have the elves taken to desecrating our Dwarven Caverns with their girly green leafed trees?

Seems like a bug, yes. Cut it down, make it into a trap component, and use it to kill elves. Or use it to construct part of a system to drop them into the magma.

I'm actually building a room next to the magma which will be used for giving prisoners lava baths... I will use the tree to build one of the cages for the death bathing room.

This is a badass tree. Dig the floor around him and muddy him, to grow a forest in his honor.

Cutting it down will serve only to anger the magma gods.
