Learn how to get away with crimes, and then how to counter those who would try that. (could be a career)

When I was bored as a kid, I read encylopedias and cookbooks.

You poor, abused child.

Sailing is incredibly fun, the only problem is you have to find a boat to do it with.  This is not a problem if you make your own!  It's incredibly easy to make a raft with a rudimentary sail attached to it, and only costs some wood (perfectly usable scrapwood can be found in many places, just watch out for splinters) something for the sail (I suggest a light-weight tarp), and some rope to hold it all together with(knot-tying can be frustrating, but it's great once you've learned it).

You do, of course, need to be near a large pool of water. Preferably a very large one with waves.

Eh, I used to read encyclopedias as a kid too. It was a good source of porn art and a lot of articles in a good encyclopedia were as interesting as the ones on TVTropes.

In the States, at least, there are lots of state parks etc. that will rent you a Sunfish for $10/hr or so.

It may take more than a month to learn how to sail, or speak lojban.

I'll admit, lojban does not sound like the most worthwhile use of your time.

Well I cant do all of that. Like I cant sail becuase I live in a desert and there's really no water to sail in...

I still think I can learn like some basic stuff in a language though. It's still gonna sound pretty formal though Im sure.

If you want something challenging that won't eat up too much extra time, try to learn ambidexterity. Writing with your off-hand could help, but the emphasis is on learning to use it as well as your primary hand in daily life.

Good god man, cats training cats? That's like how every robot apocalypse starts. But with cats.

God DAMN I love this game!

I second learning sign language, I've studied asl on and off for three months. An hour a day got me very far, I guess you could master it in a whole month if devote your whole day to it. Two good websites are here and here.

Dude, assuming you're 12,  depending on your taste in music. Learn an instrument. I'd pay to have gone back in time and replace my free time with Violin or Piano lessons. It's a useful tool of knowledge and skill on so many levels.

Learn how to make things out of chainmail, ideally bracelets. It's an art, a source of nice gifts, and a lesson in topology, in addition to being remarkably cheap to get into. Blacksmithing's also fun if you're into metallurgy; there's something fulfilling about the logic of the physical properties of worked metal.

If you want something that hails from an era after the invention of the movable type printing press, amateur robotics.

Why yes, I did have a strange childhood.
