what actions go for what attribute boosts in adv mode?
« on: July 31, 2010, 04:54:58 pm »

I'm just wondering what exactly does what, noticing how weird it is to have super(species) kinesthetic sense and have low speed, after playing a while.
the only ones i know of are just basic combat raises your strength, and struggling in vain from a grip for a long time slowly increases speed*. ???
*Also note that i was using [FLIER] at a z-level were the enemy could grab my toes but do nothing else.

Kinaestetic sence deals with TASKS that require movement, not movement itself. That means nothing in Adv mode yet (knapping and butchering don't need movement, I think.) Recuperation and DR are unchangable for all races, Agility and Strength affect speed, Strength affects combat, Toughness absorbs your hits, Endurence makes you last longer. The other mental attributes, listed below.

Analytical Ability: knapping;
Willpower: pain less;
Spatial Sense: Knapping, combat;

...and that's it. Butchery isn't affected by anything.

wow that was actually really helpful. :D
but do you or does anybody know how to raise these specifically?
because my linguistics are going up, in the middle of a desolate polar wasteland.
