Adamantine Sutures? - The Six Million Buck Dwarf!
« on: July 26, 2010, 10:31:27 pm »

I just noticed this:

This guy should be a Dwarven Wolverine now?

So yeah I'm suggesting some sort of awesome benefits from Urist McStitches sticking a ton of Adamantine into a dorf :D

The benefit is that his arm doesn't fall off.

Adamantine is so razor sharp it shouldn't even be used, the wound would reopen just by having the adamantine sutures shred right through the flesh.

Heck it is so strong it makes removing it even more difficult and even more likely to do the above.

On this topic however... Adamantine Razor wire would be an AMAZING trap component!

I still say that anyone with adamantine sutures should gain the toughness of adamantine on that body part.

Except that if they were struck the sutures would rip right through the flesh.

Basically if you grabbed them with your hands (And your hands weren't capable of being cut by them) you could easily pull them out much to the Dwarves' anguish

Even if that wasn't the case and surgical adamantine thread was looped so it doesn't become thread of death. It is only as strong as the skin holding it in.
