I didn't realize you could go "around" caverns.  Aren't they map-wide?  I don't have much experience with them.

They criss-cross the entire map, but you CAN theoretically go straight from the surface to HFS in a straight column, bypassing all caverns and the magma sea.

Class and work are slowing down production 1st cavern is nearly ready for collapse. Will update tomorrowish.
