Couple questions about Adventure mode
« on: July 18, 2010, 02:17:24 pm »

Basically i was reading a adventurer story and he talked about cutting down trees and whittling them to make spears. He then said something about building a workshop. So here are my questions:

1) Can you cut down trees?
2) Can you craft weapons (Simple or complex)
3) Can you build workshops?
4) Can you own land?

Or are these all things he added to make the story better?

1. No (i think)
2. With mods
3. No (but with mods, you can be a living workshop)
4. Define "own".

To go about this a different way, you can always "adventure" in Dwarf Fortress mode! Set the population cap in the .init from 200 to 7 or even 1 and get 6 of your starting 7 dwarves killed, and basically have a mad 'ol hermit making spears out of local trees, some lodgings in a lonely cliffside, and fending off goblin sieges single-handedly!

Right. I don't know what he meant by own. But assuming you cannot build whatsoever then owning land would be pointless.
