I like the magma pipes in 40d, but I play the newest version 31.10

i'm continually trying to starve off the urge to hit the new versions. i played 31.01 a bit when it first came out but the bugs didn't do it for me. i really enjoyed and got used to the stability of 40d so i'm gonna try and wait a bit longer until 31's a bit more polished.

31.08 for Windows here. I'm holding off on moving to 31.10 because I'm not so sure about the new weapon/armor properties.

I'm sticking with 40d until the legions of bugs are gone reduced to an acceptable level. Castes, poisons and custom workshops are tempting, but I'm too scared of seeing my dwarves trying to kill an unkillable megabeast with wooden training weapons while my population are dying of starvation in the food stockpile while the doctor amputates heads.

I've been going back and forth between 40d and 31.x, while the bugs on the latter get sorted out.

I'm on 31.10. I have experienced melting dwarves from rainwater (31.01) and it has not scared me enough to play 40d again

31.xx linux too, but I'm really tempted to go back to 40d16, because I like playing long-term games, and in the long run I prefer known things.

I've never played 40d...been on 2010 since about april.   But from what I have read about 40d I have been tempted to give it a go.

31.08. New features are far too important and entertaining for me to go back to 40d. I'm going to update to the newest 31.xx just as soon as Therapist is released for it.

Aww, no 23a love? It's not my main game mode, but I still give it whirl for nostalgia every now and then. It was the version that begat Koganusan, after all.
