how do i get more storage?

i am using a tutorial i found on another website, and i am trying to make a storage area underground, but there is not any room for any storage....

i need help figuring out how to move all this junk on the floor

Those are rocks.

You can store stuff on top of rocks.  It's all good.

Also, check the wiki for Stone Management.  Read up on quantum stockpiles.  Enjoy!

Set a 1 tile dump area in some useless little corner you won't care about, then mass select the stone you want removed (d+b+d.)
