I tried looking up suturer but there is no such thing, there are sutures which are like stitchings , so I was wondering, is the skill a doctor skill or is it for the dwarf that has a suture?

Suturing skill affects the speed, and possibly the quality, of "suturing". Suturing is the most basic hospital care provided by doctors to incoming patients, often applied to close the wounds. Almost EVERY single patient entering the hospital requires suturing; sometimes it's enough, sometimes more is needed.

In other words, it's a very important medical skill. The actual level of the skill does not appear to be very important.

As a footnote, suturing requires cloth thread.
