Another doomed video game comic project.
« on: July 20, 2010, 12:39:13 pm »

Here I was, sitting at my computer, 11:00 o' clock at night, when it hit me: a Cortex Command Comic. Probably already done (a quick Google search confirms this), and I imagine it won't garner any more readers other than my mother. Yet, I would like your opinions. I cobbled this page together last night. I have yet to make a beginning, so this would most likely be page 3. I want to make a full issue, which would be about fifteen pages.  Comments? Suggestions? Good programs to use for image editing?

Cortex command is awesome.

As for your comic, I can neither criticize it or praise it.
It does not seem to have any features yet which are worthy of note.
Maybe once you give it a story, or some characters, or anything really.
There's nothing that makes it bad, but there's nothing that makes it good.

One comment:
If you use actual screenshots from the game
rather than just Photoshopping it together,
I feel like it would look a good deal better.
Like your commando will bend his knees
so his feet will actually touch the ground.

That said, run with it.
I'll keep an eye on you.

...
Also, can you really place a rocket like that?
I feel like you can't.  :P

I am using in game screen-dumps, and then editing out the UI elements (Is there a way to remove the UI? That would make my life much easier). The odd rocket placement is a product of my getting all the shots in-game. The thing was flopping over and exploding at inopportune times, so I found I could stick it right there, and keep it in place. The story is forthcoming, I created this brief "Test scenario" to simply see if it can be done, and to test the internetian waters.
