I thought this suggestion was out there already but I can't find it. Anyway, my fort was attacked last night by a zombie ettin, and his description was this gigantic wall of text explaining how each and every possible body part was rotten. If you know what parts are attached to what, and I think the game does keep track pretty well, you could just say his "whole body is rotten, except for the pinky finger, right hand." or something. There could be some quick routine written that chooses the shortest unambiguous description.
