Actually, as far as I know, on 32-bit Windows a given process can only address 2GB of RAM.

At any rate, I don't see any reason not to spring for the 64-bit version of the OS you're buying, if you're buying a recent OS to begin with.

Ok good, I take the 64 bit version, as there is no price difference.

Can anyone recommend me a reliable and fast HDD?
RAID would be an option, but the whole thing is already getting expensive, I'll be halving the "lifetime" of my HDD (MTTF) and I'm not sure if the gain would be that significant.
