Novice Ambusher=free stuff?

So, is it a myth that if I embark with nothing but ambusher skill on my dwarves, they all get crossbows, quivers and bolts for free? A quick answer would be greatly appreciated.

If their highest skill is ambusher, then yes.

It's not true in recent versions. No free starting equipments anymore, but migrants may bring some stuff with them.

Can confirm ambusher no longer starts you with bow and arrows etc.
