Like I said...
They're all either meh, or something I already have.
I was hoping for The Ship to have a nice promotion and I actually bought Global Agenda... If you ask me, the THQ pack is the best buy in this whole promotion.

It's an unfortunate pity that the last day consists of nothing but "encore" sales - I'd have hoped for some good deals on big-name games, something dramatic to close off the week... and instead they reveal a bunch of games that, if I liked them, I'd have already purchased when they were available earlier in the week.  :-\

But, oh well. I've now got enough stuff to keep me happy for the rest of the summer (and then some!). Or at least, until the next major Steam sale comes along and further bleeds my pocketbook.  ;D

By the time the christmas sale comes around, the hot games that I would have to pay $40 for now- like ArmA2:OA- will be on sale.

:D

$10 for Borderlands. I got 100 hours from Borderlands + DLC, it's well worth it if you like diablo loot style, and while the ending is absolutely lame it's worth it just for the break from the very realistic graphics style FPS games have been moving towards. Well worth $10.

Last day and nothing good to buy.... Damn games.
Bioshock 2, Killing Floor, Left 4 Dead 2, Civ 4, Mass Effect 2, GTA 4, World of Goo, Trine. I think the only way you could look at today's list and not see anything you're interested in buying is if you already bought the games. Or, you know, you're very picky.

Bioshock 2: Too linear
Killing Floor: Don't really like that style of game.
Left 4 dead: Same as above.
Civ4: Own it, can acquire the expansions easily.
Mass Effect: Linear storyline.
World of goo: Own it, its okay.
GTA: Meh, would be okay for awhile but meh, probably has a linear storyline anyways.
Trine: Meh would get old fast, I can tell.

So yeah, very very picky it is!

Plus I'm poor, so yeah, but even if I wasn't I still wouldn't buy any of those games.

Just to be clear Rilder, what you're saying is that you don't like first person shooters where you cooperate with other players against AI enemies right?  Because that's about as specific as you can get while still calling L4D and Killing Floor the same style of game, and is ignoring the majority of the details of both...

Then again from the way you've dismissed every other game on the list it seems clear that details aren't really something you're concerned with.

PS: does anyone else feel like punching people who write meh multiple times per post?  I dunno what it is but it really gets on my nerves.

Four or more player co-op where you really have to work with your team to survive, healing items are scarce, dying isn't something you can just respawn from, fighting undead in the city..

If he doesn't like killing floor or L4D, the only thing on his list there I can recommend is GTA, provided that it's four. I liked four, although it had it's problems. Strange to it call it out for a 'linear' story, though.. Its good writing, some characters are really well done, the missions you do each have their own unique story, doesn't leave you feeling like you're doing the same thing over and over again. (IE, go here, shoot da peoplz with da gunz) I know that doesn't mean a non-linear story, but it has a good one. If you only like game without linear stories..Well, that's your choice, I suppose.

Plus I've never played any other GTA. But I did like four.

Every other GTA had a linear story as well, except 1 and 2 which didn't really have any stories.  You just sort of did missions (which generally amounted to little more than stealing cars and killing people) for different gangs until you got a high enough score to move on to the next level.  They were still awesome games though.

If my computer could run GTAIV..Damn. Played it first on the 360, then it broke for the fourth and final time, and then I got it for the PS3 but that damn controller hurts my hand. But it looks so nice when its not on my 5 year old computer.  :'(

Also, meh, meh meh, meh.

Hm, it doesn't work if it's clearly intentional...  Interesting...

Everyone buy Culpa Innata while it's still on sale for the next 4 hours!  It's a very interesting if somewhat poorly executed mystery game where you play a strangely named woman working for a strange hyper liberal utopian futuristic society to solve a murder.  It's really weird and interesting, but I wouldn't buy the censored steam version for full price.  It's also by a small developer if that matters to you.

We should play it online (on PS3) some time, Doc. Multiplayer GTAIV is pretty sweet.

I would encourage purchasing it during a sale for just that reason. Even without it, the singleplayer game is good enough that it's worth getting if the going rate is very low. It does get boring when you finish all the missions (though there is easily a week of game in there, if you all do every day is play missions on your PC), but I'd say it's fine for what you pay.

Johbson: Have you considered buying a custom controller? It would be a shame for you to have wasted $300 or more because the controller is uncomfortable. All the buttons between the two consoles are basically the same, so it's probably not too hard to find a PS3 controller that closely resembles the 360 controller in form (probably vice versa, too).

I have, but I am also very lazy. Also, I took the game back for some foolish reason. Well, I suppose doing the beginning-area-extended-tutorial 3 times was enough for me. (Played on 360, it broke, fixed it, played from start again, broke, played on PS3, hurt hand, sadness.)
