Possessed dwarf turns bone into iron

A dwarf was possessed by unknown forces and demanded cloth and bones. Lots of bones. Three mules had to die before he was satisified, grabbed a piece of cloth and got to work.

This is the result:

The unknown forces are indeed powerful. Has anyone else seen something like this?

Assuming it's not a slip-up on your part, I also see fungiwood in there too. (It was on mine)

That's an image of fungiwood made out of bone. 

But yes, whichever creature he got the first bones from must have had a terrible diet.

Ive noticed this too, it seems like if they dont have any other relevant skills they head to a craftsdorf workshop and make an iron figurine regardless of raw materials etc.

There seems to be a lot of iron bugs. Gold goblets? Screw it, iron. Steel flasks? Hope you like iron. Bone artifact? IRON IRON IRON IRON IRON!

And then there was the time I asked for iron goblets... and got electrum.

Twice in a five year fort I've had a dwarf make an iron object and gain skill in bonecrafting at a craftdwarf shop.
