The problem was the ship was designed, built and crewed by people with no qualifications but who simply WANTED TO GO INTO SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE

I have played it.

And I know the twist at the end.

But it did sound like an average game of SS13. Traitor / criminally inept person is on board and then someone else destroys the ship so you don't have to.
