Piranhas? They can be the new carp.
That was my exact thought when I read it. Oh god why did you make me to read it. Now I am adding piranhas to genesis, with tough-as-steel teeth. Poor dwarves, it's all YOU who did it. ;)
You're welcome! ^.^

Yes. Clearly a bug that ought to be fixed in the future, but exploit it in the meantime.

Put long sections of code in [code ] tags, infinite scrolling is bad.

Sigh.

...For myself: while I enjoy the nostalgic memories of DF bugs and unintended features, I think it is very important to recognize that you should want the game to change, and these problems to be fixed. We should all want a better, improving DF, not one that remains static so that we can indulge in pointless nostalgia.

Quite, quite. My position exactly.

Hehe, I'm still kinda new to df. But the river maps I did try with fish in em weren't that bad. The fish only killed my dwarves if it was in a small murky pool, otherwise it would swim away. Anyways if you want a killer fish you can try these out. I saw them on an episode of River Monsters awhile back.

And according to the article they are capable of breathing air and moving on land... eep

Make carps bigger than elephants and flying, just like...

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

Let us not write off carps so quickly.

After all... remember rocket jumps?  ;)

My phone has this idea that 'Victicod' is a word.  Now, doesn't that sound like the name of a replacement for carp?  Victi-cod.
