Count me in as well.
Name: Kelvas Elfbane
Gender: Male
One special aggressive skill: Battle Anatomy
Through years of training and fighting, Kelvas has developed a keen eye for fighting styles and openings. This has given him the ability to target specific body parts with his swings. This ability also makes it easier to find flaws in an enemy's armor/defense and exploit them. Specifically useful in dispatching small prey quickly and large prey tactically. (IE: bash in the head of a kobold, shatter the upper spine of a giant, etc.)
One special non-aggressive skill: Battlefield Surgery
Being in the dwarven armies taught Kelvas all the medical procedures from bandaging a wound to setting bones and suturing up gashes. He understands the fundamentals of health, and can take care of any wounds ranging from a sliced artery to a shattered bone. He cannot, however, bring people back from the dead or put body parts back on. Well... He could put body parts back on, they just wouldn't work...
Race: Iron Dwarf
Has a high constitution, but low interpersonal skills. Wields a weapon well, but isn't the best leader or negotiator. Will most likely meet a challenge with their battle-axe rather than reason. Due to their fighting nature, they have naturally thick skin, amazing hand-eye coordination, and superdwarven strength.
One special item: Enchanted Artifact Slade Maul "Jailshatter the Freedom of Evil" (Can only be wielded with both hands. Cannot be unequipped without dropping it on the ground. Cannot be put into inventory or put into a container and carried.)
Forged deep in the fires of hell, this maul is the only weapon to be forged of slade. Originally a prototype weapon created by the most powerful demon in hell, this maul was to be used as his escape from imprisonment. Upon finishing the weapon, he named it "Jailshatter the Freedom of Evil." Being made of slade, it's EXTREMELY heavy. It weighs more than fourteen metric tons! Shortly after finishing his maul, the other demons attacked him in an attempt to steal it and escape themselves. After years of fighting, one of the demons successfully stole the maul. The maul was heavy for even this demon, and he struggled to fight off his attackers. The demon found out later that he did not have the strength to use the weapon to destroy his prison. Hundreds of years later, and after fighting off uncounted attempts to steal the maul, this demon escaped from hell when a group of dwarves broke through an adamantium shaft. After escaping and killing all of them, the demon made his way into the forests. Thereafter he moved from elf settlement to elf settlement pretending to be a god. Decades later, a powerful wizard challenged the demon's claim to Godliness. After an intense duel, the wizard killed the demon, but was mortally wounded. In his last moments of life, he enchanted the maul to enhance the wielder's strength enough to swing the maul, but only when they have both hands on it. This made the maul usable by anything with hands. The elves of the village, being completely stupid, detested the weapon and found it to be an abomination. After attempting multiple times to destroy the weapon, they decided to hide it away in their village and protect it from falling into the wrong hands. A few more decades later, they began raiding dwarven settlements in the night to aid in the war against dwarf-kind. After another successful raid, the elven party returned, but they weren't alone... Springing from behind a tree, Kelvas immediately began strangling the first elf he saw. The other elves began trying to attack the dwarf, but to no avail. Their wooden swords were no use against his steel chain mail armor. They fired arrows from afar, but he picked up an elven shield and began blocking them. After they ran out of arrows, they charged him and he dropped the shield (now COVERED in arrows). His superior dwarven strength allowed him to easily break every joint in each of their frail bodies. As they lay crying out in pain, he systematically strangled each one to death. Shortly after, he set fire to their homes and sat in the town to watch it burn. After the fires died down and the sun was climbing over the mountains, the dwarf noticed something in the piles of ashes... Something that the light wasn't showing on... Like a shadow in the light... He reached for it and attempted to pick it up with one hand. The hammer had a strange feel to it... The stone did not feel like it was real... It felt like no material that he had ever touched, and for a dwarf that's pretty startling! The stone was not only cold and lifeless, but it seemed to absorb light and radiate an aura of darkness. When he tried to pick it up, it wouldn't budge. It just sat there. It seemed unnaturally heavy for something that size. He tried to pick it up again, this time with both hands, it took almost no effort at all. It felt about as heavy as steel, but when swung would do extreme damage to his target. After a few practice swings blowing rocks to dust and destroying trees, he raised his fist in victory and suddenly the maul became heavy again and feel from his grasp and began sinking into the mud at his feet... He placed both hands back on it and now carries it as his weapon of choice being unable to do anything with his hands while holding it and having to drop it on the ground if he needs to pick something else up. It's inconvenient, sure, but come on... It's an artifact slade maul... You would use it even if it made your testicles shrink and gave you leprosy.
Bio: Just a simple miner turned mercenary after a group of elf rangers destroyed his home and killed his brethren in the night. He picked up their trail and killed every elf in their village... with his bare hands... After that, he enlisted in the dwarven armies and marched across the elven lands killing hundreds of elves and other various enemies of dwarf-kind. After that, he retired his maul. Now it's time for him to take up arms again... Against a new threat...
About: Not the most talkative fellow, Kelvas has no people skills. However, his complete lack of emotional intelligence has not made it impossible for him to find friends. He's very dependable and his motives are never hard to discern. He's very agreeable and understanding. He's so simple that it's almost impossible to imagine him manipulating anything more than a dog. This level of transparency makes other people trust him more easily. His high degree of simplicity should not be confused with ignorance or stupidity. It's not that he doesn't understand, he simply doesn't care. He just wants to get his job done. Done right, and if possible done quickly. He doesn't get angry, or happy, very often and his emotional stability often acts as a beacon of calming to his companions. He does not have any real desires other than survival and freedom... Oh, and elf killing. Lots of elf killing. He has a confirmed 498 elf kills.
You should just start this and add the remaining guy when we get another. People usually join once the ball gets rolling.
