The kind, loving freak has been caught!  He will spend the rest of eternity trapped in a golden cage to be gawked at by lesser beings.  Teach that bastard to try and bring sunshine and rainbows to my fort!

Editing the world file did it, just misspelling TRAPAVOID caused him to get snagged as soon as he walked over a trap.  Thanks for the help everyone!  Now, to start work on the mosaic...

As far as I can tell so far, nothing.  I made a zoo out of the cage that it is in, and the dwarves do have a happy thought from the cage, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Its groundwork for some stuff that gets put into the game later. Like the creature not murdering the hell out of anything, but actualy having a personality based behaviour. Would probabaly require some other mechanics to be in first, like the improved biome alingement system and the army arc.

And of course its a reason for us to put them in cages and poke fun at them.

That's the point, it wouldn't be as fun to crush their souls if they didn't have souls to begin with.

He can't fly, right? You should release him into a pit and dump goblins in to get a lesson in friendship and happiness >:D
