Expedition leader question
« on: May 03, 2010, 09:47:04 pm »

I set off with a professional swordsdwarf in order to have some semblance of an army.  Of course, he was nominated expedition leader.  Am I correct in understanding that this means he can't be assigned to lead a squad?

Expedition leaders can be assigned to squads, but it might not be a good idea until some bugs are fixed.  If your leader "noble" dies, all the appointed positions disappear.  Also if you set training mode, members of the squad may be stuck in "no job" after the training is cancelled.

As HammerDave said, your expedition leader can join a squad, yes.

As you suspect yourself, unfortunately, the expedition leader is also prohibited from leading a squad.
