You'd think they'd archive it all, but apparently not.

A lot of old TV episodes are lost. The sad thing is that they could sitting in someone's shed and no-one would know, they still occasionally turn up old episodes when someone cleans out their attic and finds out that their grandfather who worked there took some old tapes out of the rubbish and kept them.
