So i found some adamantine and began to dig it out and make a stairway going down the deposit i got about 3 zlevels down when my dwarfs canceled digging due to dangerous terrain, now no dwarfs will go down any of the stairways and act like they arnt there, i checked 50 times to see if i somehow got magma inside of the tunnel and its all clean but no one will walk down the stairs to dig/collect the adamantine thats dug out down there.

I tried building new stairs and the dwarfs tell me that they cannot find a path to building the upstairs to connect to the down.  I have no clue what so ever as to what is stopping them iv never encountered adamantine before nor have i encountered this issue.

This is a known bug, and it's already been reported on the bug tracker.

It's possibly temperature related, try turning temperature off to collect the adamantine then turn it back on when you're done.

Otherwise, if that does not work, nothing you can do but wait till Toady fixes it.
