Yeah the art's cool but Boatmurdered was one of the first big, long lasting communal forts.

Saying that this 'is the new' Boatmurdered is kinda weird.   They're not really comparable in aims or final product.

Boatmurdered isn't remembered for being one of the first, long lasting communal forts. Its remembered for being fucking hilarious, due to a combination of great storytelling and DF. Also, it is probably responsible for more new DF players than any other single enterprise outside of Bay12.

It isn't too great a stretch of the imagination to see the fantastic art and storytelling in Bronzemurder performing likewise, especially with the ease of access. Also, the author has said he may continue this saga, which would make this only the beginning.

Maybe it brought in many, but most left. TinyPirate's tutorial brought and KEPT more players than Boatmurdered.
