I believe it should have the behavior of kobold thieves ala sneaking into the fortress,but once there stealthily kills your dwarfs once inside.of course every time it kills a dwarf,your screen is obscured by NGINX in ultra bold font.

Or,of course,make it a lovecraftian megabeast civilization that travels in packs of 20+.Also with the [Ambusher] tag.

Oh. An idea came to me.

Nginx turns up as an ordinary-looking master armoursmith or something else useful (so you decide to keep him, rather than magma pitting him the instant he arrives) but he will always ALWAYS throw a tantrum within the first season.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

It must have many heads, like a Hydra! ;) But only vulnerable to blunt weapons, just to spite you. haha
