So, at start up in Fortress mode, you get to choose from where your little guys came from.  Thing is, there's not much difference in the three aside from what meat you can get from them and maybe metal bars, I haven't really checked the latter.  It'd be nice to have a bit more variety in what they offer.

The one idea I had along that line was to have civilizations being "known" for certain jobs.  Immigrants from there would either have a higher starting skill on arrival or more of them could just show up.

Differentiazation of civs is in the dev notes.   They already have a starting preference for certain materials.
