Also, if your civilization doesn't have any leaders, you might not get any traders, even if everyone else can reach you....

(I've been generating worlds where elves have reigned supreme. No goblins, and humans & dwarves are rare...)

I have this same thing going on; Humans, Dwarves and Elves were listed at embark but I've only seen Elven caravans. I got 12 immigrants total and now they've stopped coming.

Sure wish I'd've brought an anvil. Oh well, time to gen a new world I guess.
