So has anyone gotten the normal king in the new version yet? I'm wanting to snag him before getting the special metal (I don't want the bugged king...) though not sure if one can get him since it seems that people have been having trouble getting nobles to migrate over?

I was hoping so until I found out my civ doesn't *have* a king, and doesn't even have a capital. Odd thing is, apparently he had died about ten years prior to worldgen completion and no replacement came to power..

I'm wondering if a new one can rise to power through a normal DF session. Would be neat if you could choose one of your own dwarves to be the new king/queen.

I've been kind of hping that it would happen similar to the Baron...  Except you'd be founding a whole new civ from your new mountainhome.
