So, I wasn't really sure whether to post this as a question, a suggestion or a discussion- for a while I considered making it a bug report, as that seemed the most Dorfen reaction to indecision, but I settled for here.

Has anyone tested the protective properties of adamantine clothes yet- not armor, but actual clothes? I remember hearing that silk is now better than iron plate, but it would actually make sense that you'd get some protection, of some form. At the very least, it would be awesome of adamantine cloaks worked like asbestos cloaks vs. dragonfire, or something. Maybe even let you survive brief contact with magma? Or magma mist, if that still exists?

From what I've seen clothes give the same protection as armor as long as they are made out of the same material. The fun part is that you can wear adamantine clothes underneath adamantine armor and become double-invincible.
