I noticed that elvish adventurers have never gotten enraged. And I can't recall if I've ever seen any at all elf get enraged. Is it just not possible, or is there a stat basis for it? With such a low Patience, surely I something would've set me off by now.

Enraged how? are you talking about playing them as a race? or just in combat? in combat I believe i saw it one time in 31.12 but then again so was the mule he was with lol....

I mean in combat. It seems like any other race can become enraged, except dwarves go into martial trance instead. My human adventurers would go enraged quite often, but elven aventurers never have.

dwarves can become enraged too, my dwarf for example recently was enraged while in a martial trance.
also, elves do get enraged, i've seen it before while massacring their villages

It's to do with the ANGER personality trait, by the way, not anything that you can have any control over. All of the default races except goblins have the default ANGER median (presumably 0:50:100). So whether the chance of getting enraged is better or worse is basically random.

My adventurer has never got enraged, but I seen other people getting enraged while being on the brink of death. And, of course, dying two turns after even without any further intervention from my PC

If Runesmith is accurate, then even adventurers get randomized personality traits. My elf has nothing for anger, so I assume it's at median, same with my rage-prone human, who additionally 'has incredibly calm demeanor'.

Rage has to do if your character believes he is fighting a losing battle (fighting vs superior foes), martial trances happen if he is outnumbered.

I usually get engraged adventurers while hes vomiting his organs out while losing a battle and martial trance just before the goblin mob bludgeons him down :V
