Health in Adventure Mode
« on: April 04, 2010, 08:57:22 pm »

Typically, traveling to any location would mend all but brain damage.. Now, my Cutebold dagger warrior's arm is still hanging by a thread after a wolf tried to tear it off.

How2/Repair limbs and stop bleeding in Adventure Mode?

Apparently I severely overestimated the wounds.. It appears as Yellow/Dark Yellow in my Z menu, but the description says that I merely have two "curved scars." I guess I'm in perfect health, eh?

Edit:
Doesn't explain the bleeding, though. I tried sleeping with an open wound and bled to death.

Toady haet Kobold Warriors :(

Edit:

I've been trying to find this giant. Two cities have given me a mission to find this Beared Sewers giant and gut it. Unfortunately, I've managed to kill 3 other giants in the area, but my pointers keep saying "No srsly, he's on this hill with all the crap on it" and I have yet to find it.

have you found the cave entrance? Caves look like hills now. also Giants love to group up, so you will probably need to fight a few more before you find him.

so far my quests have all been for things that shoot fireballs, and when I find the area I get spammed with "x shoots a fireball at the administrator" or "x shoots a fireball at the Alligator" and end up finding the targets charred body shortly there after.

with healing i cant figure it out. it never lets me travel with a bleeding wound and then I die.

Can you give me a picture of a cave entrance? There is no point on this mound I can go into.

There will be a way in SOMEwhere.

It might not be as obvious as this:

but there will be a flat bit with a ramp down on one of the levels.

I usually walk all around the hill on the ground level, then use (l)ook to go up layer by layer, investigating anything that looks like a dent inwards.

The entrance can be twisty and hard to tell apart from all the ramps, but looking at the shape of the mound as you scan up and down the Z levels can make it easier to pick out suspect spots to go and investigate in person.

Good luck with the giant!

I've had a smashed middle finger since my first fight in adventure mode... Then again, I haven't slept yet. My throat had been cut/stabbed/ripped out by armless elves so many times my description now says "His throat bears the marks of old wounds, including a massive jagged scar (assuming that last one is from the elf).

Edit: Just tried sleeping, and my finger is still broken and smashed open.
